Timberjacks To Expand Program in 2024

The 2023 Timberjacks had a successful Spring season with a 13-4-3 record that
included a second place finish at the Cinco De Mayo tournament in Everett, WA against
travel teams from around the Pacific Northwest. 8 players from the Timberjacks roster were
selected for District Allstar Teams and 6 from the Timberjacks development team were
selected for other summer baseball opportunities including local tournaments and BC Girls
14U Provincial Team.
Building off the success of this season, Coquitlam Little League and The Blue
Mountain Timberjacks are excited to announce the expansion of the program for 2024.
The 2024 season will see one 14U Junior team that will play a tournament focused
schedule at 54/80 and 60/90 dimensions and two 13U Intermediate teams that will also play
a tournament focused schedule but at 50/70 dimensions. "By expanding the Timberjack
program, we will be able to develop more players by offering competitive baseball
opportunities at age and skill appropriate levels" said League President, Sandon Fraser. ‘It
will also help players who are interested in playing summer baseball focus on opportunities
that will increase their chances to play at a Provincial, National and even World Series level’.
The goal of the Timberjacks program is to offer competitive baseball with quality
instruction while also accommodating player's other interests including school and other
activities. Confirmed coaches have countless years of experience playing and coaching at
Provincial and National levels.
The expansion of the Timberjacks program will include a redefined Fall Season that
includes a focus on development during the week and tournaments on weekends. Fall
details will be announced shortly.
Spring registration and evaluation information will be available early this Fall.
